Vice President of National HBCU Charities creates a new book advocating for urgent Financial Support of HBCUs, Students, and Underserved Minority Communities.
HBCUs and their students need financial help to recover from federal cutbacks. National HBCU Charities invites you to read our book "Star Power' and learn how to raise funds to overcome the Government's current behavior. We must continue to protect and grow the rich history and culture of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Our mission is to promote awareness and understanding of HBCUs' significant contributions to education and benefits to multicultural society. Through various programs and preservation initiatives, we will continue to inspire future generations to appreciate the value of HBCUs. Join us in our journey to preserve, grow, and enhance the HBCU legacy and brand. Together, let's make a difference in the lives of students and our HBCUs.
National HBCU Charities Inc. is proud to announce the creation of STAR POWER, a compelling new book by Vice President and Co-founder, Donald E. Thornton. This publication serves as a clarion call to philanthropists, corporate sponsors, HBCU alumni, donors, investors, and educational advocates, urging a heightened national commitment to the long-term sustainability and advancement of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and their students.
Motivated by growing concerns over the political marginalization of education, Black History, and underserved communities in today’s America, Thornton delivers an insightful, persuasive, solution-oriented message to all cultures that the time to act is now, before the political landscape becomes unrecognizable.
Through STAR POWER, Mr. Thornton not only educates but intellectually and logically challenges the public and private sectors to consider the extraordinary impact HBCUs have had—and will continue to have—on America’s academic performance, economic growth, and cultural development. Don highlights how strategic funding, innovative marketing, and sustained advocacy can unlock true growth for HBCUs, increase resources, and create more student scholarships.
